Old machines

Saw these dudes at an old warehouse that was getting emptied out.  They were already claimed, a good thing that saved me from having them in my garage.

  1. Wow, I really like the logo on that center unit. Have you ever done a little micro-feature on soda logo's through the ages?

And man, 35 cents for cola for the unit on the right of the picture? that seems really high for the early 80's which would be my guess for the time that machine was used.

  2. That hippy dippy 7up machine is pretty trippy. But I could never write about it because it'd encourage children to do drugs.

  3. Must I assume that there are no longer any exotic sodas left in this fallen land? Or have the critics simply lapsed into monkish silence? O Bodhisattva of Bubbly Water, hear us, and return to this vale of troubles we call the world.

  5. Nah, it's OK, man. You've left behind an entertaining and informative archive of reviews. Thanks!

P.S. – I love pop, and cannot for the life of me detect a difference between sugar & corn syrup. I think they both taste great. Is my brain broken?

  6. Corn syrup sometimes tastes 'burned' to me, but aside from that it's hard to tell the difference. The formulas for this crap are always changing, so I suspect that a big part of something tasting like 'sugar' is that they are using a formula that tastes like things used to taste like when they used sugar.

"Mexican Coke" always tastes better to me than regular Coke, and I think it's because of the intent of the recipe and not because of the possible use of real sugar.

  7. On the odd chance that you ever check this "blog", do you have writing or YouTube videos somewhere else? This was always my favorite website to go to while it was operational. I imagine even if you were writing about a topic I don't particularly care for, you'd find a way to make it interesting.

  8. Just noticed the most recent comments are from this year, I assumed it was from 2014. Anyway, I'd like to read anything you have posted somewhere else. I asked about the YouTube videos because someone said they recognized you from them, and I have no idea who you are aside from the name Tim.

  9. I am "trey" mysterious. Whoever mentioned Youtube was sadly mistaken, though. I do not do things there.

  10. Alright, that's fine about the YouTube thing, but do you have any writing anywhere else? I'm not trying to find your address so I can camp on your lawn, or fondle your beard, I'm saying I like your writing. -Stacey E.

  11. I left my dream journal on a bus last year. That would be some good reading.

  12. Irrespective of receiving daily oral or future injectable depot therapies, these require health care visits for medication and monitoring of safety and response. If patients are treated early enough, before a lot of immune system damage has occurred, life expectancy is close to normal, as long as they remain on successful treatment. However, when patients stop therapy, virus rebounds to high levels in most patients, sometimes associated with severe illness because i have gone through this and even an increased risk of death. The aim of “cure”is ongoing but i still do believe my government made millions of ARV drugs instead of finding a cure. for ongoing therapy and monitoring. ARV alone cannot cure HIV as among the cells that are infected are very long-living CD4 memory cells and possibly other cells that act as long-term reservoirs. HIV can hide in these cells without being detected by the body’s immune system. Therefore even when ART completely blocks subsequent rounds of infection of cells, reservoirs that have been infected before therapy initiation persist and from these reservoirs HIV rebounds if therapy is stopped. “Cure” could either mean an eradication cure, which means to completely rid the body of reservoir virus or a functional HIV cure, where HIV may remain in reservoir cells but rebound to high levels is prevented after therapy interruption.Dr Itua Herbal Medicine makes me believes there is a hope for people suffering from,Parkinson's disease,Schizophrenia,Lung Cancer,Breast Cancer,Colo-Rectal Cancer,Blood Cancer,Prostate Cancer,Scoliosis,Fibromyalgia,Fluoroquinolone Toxicity
